Welcome to Anatomy 101!

This module is the foundation for the entire course. We will speak briefly to gestational anatomy and comprehensively to labour anatomy.

Once you understand how labour works from a physical, hormonal, emotional, and mental space you will begin to understand the complexities that could potentially arise during the process.

Be mindful this section focuses on birth as a natural process, but I understand not all births are natural, nor do all people want a natural birth, which I will cover later on. However, I explain birth in this manner because without the foundational knowledge of natural birth, it is impossible to understand how birth really works. More importantly, without this you cannot understand the potential benefits and risks that interventions may have.
